This site has been founded by Linda Jones, a U.K. based jewellery designer who has exhibited and sold her work nationally in shops, galleries and shows.
Linda originally trained, twenty years ago, at the Metropolitan University, London, specialising in enamelling.
Fourteen years ago, she began teaching wire jewellery, setting up her own local creative workshops, the success of which has led to the establishment of 'Wire Wonders', an active group of wire jewellery enthusiasts, who sell and exhibit in south east Kent. As a teacher of wire jewellery, she is totally self-taught and has 8 published project books to her name as well as an instructional DVD.
Linda has contributed project designs to many craft publications over the years, notably the U.S. magazines: 'Step by Step Wire Jewellery' and 'Beadwork' as well as U.K, magazines such as 'Crafts Beautiful', 'Bead', together with being a regular contributor to 'Make Jewellery' magazine. Linda also contributes regular filmed projects and demonstrates wireworking techniques on BEAD TV: see: http://www.bead.tv/index.asp
As well as running one day workshops from her studio, Linda is involved in running therapeutic jewellery sessions at the Cheshire Homes in Chevening, for physically handicapped people and has experience in running creative workshops for children from the age of 10, for her local council. She is happy to do demonstrations, talks and 'taster' sessions to pass on her passion and enthusiasm for wire art.
If you are interested in purchasing a unique, handcrafted piece of jewellery, Linda is happy to undertake commissions for 'one off' pieces and specialises in bespoke wedding tiaras and accessories.
