Wire & Bead Jewellery Workshops
Beginners Wire & Bead Workshop
This is an intensive 'taster' day for the total beginner, or someone who needs refreshing in essential wire working techniques. You will be tutored to thread beads with wire, create spirals and coils, make bead cages, simple chain links and clasps, culminating in designing and fabricating your own unique piece of jewellery to take home
Intermediate Wire & Bead Workshop
This is an intensive day course for someone who already has a basic knowledge of wire working skills, where the session can be adapted to suit their skill level and needs. Working with a Jig, Spiral Bead Maker and learning how to twist and plait wire to make stunning rings and bangles are some of the techniques on offer. From this experience you will have the opportunity to design and create your own unique piece of jewellery to take home.
Tiara Workshop
This course is ideal for anyone considering creating wedding jewellery to expand into a business, or for a bride wanting to create her own distinctly original jewellery to blend with her wedding theme. No previous wire working experience is necessary (but helpful!) as you will be tutored into how to create different tiara and hair accessory designs and techniques, culminating in the creation of a finished piece to take home.
Each workshop begins at 10.30am and finishes at 4.30pm. They are run at the Stable Studios, Faulkners Oast (East), Tonbridge Road, Hadlow, Kent TN11 0AJ by designer and author, Linda Jones. The cost of a one day session is £130 for private tuition, however if you wish to attend with more than one person (and up to 4 in total) it is £95 per head. This is inclusive of all materials, use of tools, worksheets, lunch and refreshments ... infact all you have to bring is yourself!
